Who We Are

-
Earth Foundation has close ties with the United Nations, U.N. related organizations, the Hawaii State Legislature, and the University of Hawaii.

Since 1997 EF’s representative
has been dealing with the U.N. He is in contact and talks and emails to 15 to 20 people who can get things done fast who work for the seven U.N. agencies listed below:
-
U.N. Environmental Programme (UNEP)
-
U.N. Television
-
U.N. Development Programme (UNDP)
-
U.N. Secretariat
-
Tropical Disease Research (TDR), of WHO (U.N.’s World
Health Organization)
-
U.N. Global Environmental Facility (GEF)
-
UNICEF
-
In August 1997, while Earth Foundation was
preparing its nonprofit incorporation papers for filing and
its initial “Public 501(c)(3) charitable organization”
application to submit to the I.R.S. for consideration, Earth
Foundation proceeded with the building of vitally important
business relationships. EF’s President had successful,
solid meetings during four days in New York with the United
Nations (U.N.) and a day in Washington, D.C. with
the U.N. Global Environment Facility (“GEF”)
to establish substantial working relationships with these organizations.
A retired U.N. Assistant Secretary General and
Executive Deputy Director of UNEP is on the
Board of Directors of Earth Foundation. He was very kind
to line up and make the appointments for EF’s President
to meet with all these people. Earth Foundation is fortunate
that, if needed, our board member could help get us in contact
with whoever is needed in the U.N.
